IN2-AV Recruitment is representing a leading global provider of digital in-store engagement and AV solutions. Our client designs and delivers innovative technologies that enhance customer experience through digital signage, interactive displays, audio systems and connected content platforms. With offices across Europe, Asia and the US, they support some of the world’s best-known brands in retail, fashion, finance and hospitality.

We’re seeking an experienced Technical Lead and Solution Design Manager to head up the UK technical team. This is a pivotal role combining hands-on technical leadership with solution design, client consultation and project coordination. You’ll play a key part in shaping the technical strategy, supporting pre- and post-sales activity, and ensuring solutions are well-designed, scalable and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the UK technical team, managing multiple projects from concept through delivery.
  • Consult with clients to define project requirements and propose tailored AV/digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across software, delivery and content production to validate technical design and costings.
  • Support the sales process with technical insight, proposals and presentations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and partners to ensure smooth delivery and aftercare.
  • Design, document and test new digital solutions; provide on-site and remote installation support.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor offerings.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with an AV system integrator.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and project coordination skills.
  • Solid understanding of digital signage, LED/LFD displays, AV hardware/software and content management systems.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VPNs, Firewalls) and mechanical/electrical principles.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience preparing technical documentation, diagrams and presentations.
  • Desirable: familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio or SolidWorks, and small-scale audio design.
