We’re seeking an experienced Technical Lead and Solution Design Manager to head up the UK technical team. This is a pivotal role combining hands-on technical leadership with solution design, client consultation and project coordination. You’ll play a key part in shaping the technical strategy, supporting pre- and post-sales activity, and ensuring solutions are well-designed, scalable and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the UK technical team, managing multiple projects from concept through delivery.
- Consult with clients to define project requirements and propose tailored AV/digital solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams across software, delivery and content production to validate technical design and costings.
- Support the sales process with technical insight, proposals and presentations.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and partners to ensure smooth delivery and aftercare.
- Design, document and test new digital solutions; provide on-site and remote installation support.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor offerings.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with an AV system integrator.
- Excellent client-facing communication and project coordination skills.
- Solid understanding of digital signage, LED/LFD displays, AV hardware/software and content management systems.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VPNs, Firewalls) and mechanical/electrical principles.
- Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience preparing technical documentation, diagrams and presentations.
- Desirable: familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio or SolidWorks, and small-scale audio design.
