Sales Manager – Smart Building Technologies / BMS
UK (Hybrid) | Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Car Allowance
We’re representing a rapidly expanding smart building technologies provider that’s driving innovation across engineering, systems integration, SaaS analytics, and product development. With a growing footprint across the UK and international markets, the business is now seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead its engineering-focused sales division.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideally suited to a commercially driven professional with a solid technical background in BMS (Building Management Systems) or Smart Building Technologies.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring a team of sales estimators, including daily team calls, technical reviews, and one-to-ones.
- Managing and growing key client relationships while also producing and closing your own detailed proposals.
- Working towards defined revenue and margin targets, and maintaining full visibility of pipeline through CRM reporting.
- Collaborating closely with engineering and project delivery teams to ensure sales proposals meet client needs and technical specs.
- Proven track record in technical sales leadership within BMS or related smart building sectors.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls integration, and project tendering (HNC or Degree preferred).
- Excellent client-facing skills, with a consultative, solution-led sales style.
- Experience managing sales teams and coaching junior team members.
- Confident in CRM usage (HubSpot preferred) and producing accurate sales forecasts.
