To support ongoing growth, our client is seeking a Technical Sales Executive to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in sales, design or engineering who wants to develop their career in technical sales.
You will work closely with colleagues across sales, design, engineering and manufacturing, supporting enquiries, preparing quotations and tenders, and helping to convert pipeline opportunities.
The role also involves prospecting for new business, managing customer relationships and attending meetings, exhibitions and events.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in sales or business development, ideally within transport or infrastructure sectors (rail industry experience an advantage)
- Strong commercial skills, with the ability to identify and win new business
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident in producing quotations and supporting tenders
- Organised, detail-focused and proactive, with good IT skills (Microsoft Office essential)
- Knowledge of engineering or manufacturing processes would be beneficial, but not essential
