They are expanding their North American operations and looking for an experienced Lead Commercial Field AV Engineer who thrives on travel, technically challenging installations, and site leadership.
What You Will Do
As the Lead Commercial Field AV Engineer, you will be the technical authority on site, taking ownership of high-impact deployments across North America from initial site prep to final client handover.
- Lead from the Front: Supervise and direct installation crews, sub-contractors, and engineering teams on site to ensure quality, safety, and precision execution.
- Deliver Cutting-Edge Tech: Oversee complex installations featuring high-density LED displays, interactive Digital Signage networks, dynamic Projection Mapping, and integrated control environments.
- Commissioning & Systems Setup: Test, configure, and commission audio-visual control platforms and DSPs (such as Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, and Dante).
- On-Site Problem Solving: Solve real-time technical, networking, and mounting challenges in fast-paced commercial environments.
- Client Handover: Coordinate with general contractors and brand representatives to perform final walk-throughs and system handovers.
What We Are Looking For
- Commercial AV Expertise: Proven track record as a Senior or Lead AV Engineer delivering commercial installations in Retail, Hospitality, or Leisure sectors.
- Site Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead site operations, coordinate installation teams, and maintain high standards of quality control.
- Core Tech Knowledge: Hands-on experience with LED hardware, projection technology, commercial rack builds, and IP-based AV networking.
- Control Systems Experience: Working knowledge of Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, or similar commercial control ecosystems.
- Flexibility for Travel: Passion for life on the road with the availability for extensive travel across North America.
